This special issue derives from the premise that places are practiced rather than always-already “some-where”. The objective of the special issue is to demonstrate the importance of place for Practice Theory. From a practice-theoretical perspective, situatedness and localization can be understood and made visible as fundamental characteristics of all practical actions and realities of action.
