The focus of the professorship is on social change and dynamics in contemporary societies. It can have one or several areas of specialization such as digital transformation, gender and diversity, inequality and conflict, or demographic change and migration, to name but a few, but the professorship is also expected to address dynamically new social developments as they unfold.
