The position offered is at the Junior University Researcher with PhD level and located at the Competence Center for Management of Cooperatives, which studies the various forms of cooperative enterprises as agents of societal transformation and regional development. This is a full-time position for a duration of 3 years.
The research activity focuses on management aspects of cooperatives and their ability to develop entrepreneurial responses to socio-economic and environmental transformation processes, especially at the regional level. The successful candidate will conduct research independently and in collaboration with members of the Competence Centre, especially the Director, Prof. Richard Lang. Responsibilities include assisting in obtaining external funding, presenting research results at conferences and in scientific and practice-oriented publications, as well as engaging with central stakeholders of the cooperative sector in South Tyrol.
The teaching load per year is 60 hours. Funding is available for research projects and travel to conferences.
The salary is competitive.
About the Competence Center
The Competence Center for Management of Cooperatives aims to conduct internationally competitive research and knowledge transfer on cooperatives across disciplinary boundaries. Its research activities on current and future problems are intended to develop viable and forward-looking solutions. The Center will make an important contribution to the further development and competitiveness of the cooperative sector in the context of the European region Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino.
